KIID data extraction
While UCITS KIID (past performance, charges for the fund, the objectives and investment policy etc.) or PRIIPs KID (8 Sections listed within the EPT to contain 100+ data points) both contain information under standard headings, the display of this information within PDF documentation is highly variable and unstructured and therefore presents a significant challenge to achieving an automated, scalable and accurate process for extracting this data for downstream use or reconciliation. Check out below how Fusion negates these issues to achieve a straight through process.

00:05:01
Forward Reconciliations
Forward Reconciliations are a key component in the preparation of and review of a published NAV. Given the instruments lack common market identifiers, and can be presented as individual legs or consolidated deals the completion of the reconciliations is often performed manually, in excel or using a separate system to other reconciliations leading to slower, less automated and varied processes. Leveraging the flexibility, customisability and powerful data transformation layer within Fusion all of these roadblocks to a straight through process can be negated

Collateral Management
Collateral Management, the process of managing assets pledged by one party to another to mitigate credit risk and minimise the effects of potential default, requires firms to be able to reconcile data points such as trade & maturity dates, notional values, MTM and margin figures, currency codes, identifiers, counterparty IDs & more to ultimately help in reducing risks related to derivative, repurchase, and securities lending transactions.

00:05:01
sequential reconciliation
Unlike point of time reconciliations, a sequential reconciliation such as a Transaction reconciliation will only receive each row of data once and must retain and carry the information relating to exceptions forward across subsequent periods until such time as an update or corresponding information is received to match against it. In the case of Transaction recs, this can often lead to manual, variable processes being carried out to reconcile data offline which lack the ability to categorise and tag individual transactions based any of the underlying trade economics in an automated manner.
